Chris Granberg

 Chris Granberg is a Principal at Longbow Public Policy Group, LLC, handling complex legislative and regulatory issues for clients. He has more than 20 years of experience developing and implementing sophisticated and successful advocacy strategies for clients ranging from large conglomerates to small technology firms, as well as trade and professional associations, labor organizations, and nonprofit entities. He is highly regarded for his ability to form and manage legislative coalitions and regularly assists clients with grassroots advocacy campaigns and “Hill Day” fly-ins for trade associations and professional organizations. 

Mr. Granberg has successfully lobbied on behalf of clients’ interests in the development of federal legislation and regulations in the areas of labor and employment, retirement, financial services, energy, homeland security policy (including critical infrastructure protection and access control and credentialing programs), law enforcement policy, and appropriations issues. 

Mr. Granberg previously served as Senior Legislative Liaison for the National Fraternal Order of Police, the nation’s largest law enforcement labor organization. In this capacity, he represented the organization’s interests in homeland security policy, financial crimes, federal grant programs, and employment matters. In the wake of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks, Mr. Granberg was heavily involved in the development of the USA PATRIOT Act and the Homeland Security Act. He regularly speaks and writes on public policy issues and legislation related to homeland security, law enforcement, and federal labor and employment policies.

Mr. Granberg resides in Clifton, Virginia with his wife and two daughters and is actively involved in his community. He serves as co-director of a youth basketball league and coordinates an annual Holiday Food Basket program for area families in need.
